The Complete Mac Conversion

So now I've got the lot.

After months of denial about usability, feature rich-ness and overall cool factor of using a Mac, I'm now first among the former Windows users to scoff at the new Vista. A boot up time of more than a minute on Vista simply cannot be tolerated by any business user, or any user for that matter. And I'm talking about boot-ups whereby you can actually start typing away on Microsoft Word, not a static wallpaper and the eternally spinning hourglass icon. I think my boss Singapore has had his ears full on a recent driving trip to Malaysia on the benefits of converting to the Mac.

To complete the transformation, I have just bought myself the iPhone to see what the fuss is all about. And I agree with the Apple detractors who have come to know the iPhone in the States. They have also come to the conclusion that it is one of the best pieces of handset hardware that Apple has released. And this from Apple detractors!

I am still in the process of getting used to the functionalities and the lack of any input options other than a touchscreen interface. I am suitably impressed!

MacBook Air upgrade anyone???

OMG! I'm going to be on TV!

The reality is setting in after having seen the first plug for the eXpat on youtube: I'm going to be on friggin' TV. My God, what was I thinking?!?

The experience was a chance in a lifetime anyway and no, I don't know who won (so don't ask). The segments are fun, we had a blast (in hindsight), and it will be good to see my ugly mug in all my widescreen glory at home.
